Wednesdays at 7 pm
in the Historical Room. We have begun a new study on the book of Psalms (please park in the back and ring the bell at the back door–masks are required, and we can supply one if you forget to bring one).
The psalms are a treasured compilation of hymns and prayers used in worship for well over two millennia (the oldest psalm is #90, attributed to Moses; it is possibly 3,500 years old). We will look at their purpose, how they were compiled and intentionally arranged, the different types, etc., and how the Israelites used them.
For today’s study: please come with your bible and have your favorite psalm in mind, and please share with the class why that particular psalm is meaningful to you (concisely, so that each has time to share if they choose to).
All are welcome to attend!
